Q: Do you have any promotional materials?
A: We have printable black & white or color PDF brochures to promote both camps with your students and to give to them a copy so that they have something they can use to invite their friends.

Q: Why are we doing online registration?
A: Online registration is already proving to be effective. If you have students interested in senior high camp, get signed up asap, we may fill up! We are grateful for your patience through this new process as we are still learning how to do this better each day. It is making things so much easier from an administrative standpoint.
Q: Do we HAVE to pay online? What about paying for camp another way?
A: Understandably there have been a lot of money questions. Students can simply pay the $50 deposit or the full camp cost when they register. If your church is used to doing fund raisers, scholarships, or collecting the money from students and paying the district with one check or on the WAPAC online portal (wapacnaz.org) that is completely acceptable! If this is your preferred method, please call Megan Wighaman 253-906-5841 and request a coupon code. We will assign a coupon code specific to your church that will take the registration balance down to zero. Then, we have a way to track and expect your church’s payment for your students on or before camp. Simply mail a check written to WAPAC NYI for the necessary amount and mail it to the district office: WAPAC District, 2646 RW Johnson Blvd SW Ste 108, Tumwater, WA 98512.
Q: Student care, connection, and supervision...who will be taking care of my students?
A: Camp is a great opportunity for us to be with students and connect them. As a youth worker we can accomplish more with a student in that one week than we can sporadically throughout an entire school year. It's an opportunity to get them out of their environment, unplugged, and open to God's voice in their lives. We realize that camp is expensive for our students and counselors alike. Just so you are aware, camp costs are based strictly on what the camp charges us. All additional money is from our district nyi budget (supplies, speakers, band, activities, etc.) What does this mean? It costs approximately $22.50 per student to staff a cabin/have a good ratio (it is about 1:11 we would love for that ratio to be smaller) for our students on top of what they are already paying. To maximize the effectiveness of camp and to ensure our students are properly being cared for, we need youth workers and volunteers to come to camp with them! That means we need your help! If you don’t send adult leaders with your students, we are asking that you consider sending WAPAC NYI an additional $22.50 per student that you are dropping off at camp. If we don’t get enough staff we literally have to hire out counselors from Crista Camps at a high cost, we’d prefer to have adult leaders from our local churches already investing in our student’s lives come with us.
Q: I want to be a counselor for camp, how do I sign up?
A: Go to wapac.org or wapacnaz.org and simply click on the Adult Counsleor Registration and Medical Release button.
Q: How do I know which students from my church have signed up?
A: If you need a report of who has registered from your church and how much they’ve paid already, simply email or call our Camp Registrar and NYI Treasurer, David Lafrenz at [email protected] and 360-480-7219.
